The McCandless Scouting Foundation exists to receive charitable donations and provide financial support exclusively for the activities, supplies, participants, and programs of Scouting America Troops 329 and 9329 in McCandless Township, Pennsylvania.
The Foundation is a charitable organization established in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The Foundation is a separate and independent entity from Scouting America and was established through the generous contribution of Mr. Richard Knight, given in honor of his wife Susan, whom he first met through his involvement in scouting. Rick has been involved with McCandless Troop 329 for decades, demonstrating his commitment to youth development, leadership, and service.
Donations help cover the costs of equipment, camping activities, leadership training, program materials, and other expenses essential to delivering a quality Scouting experience.
Financial assistance helps Scouts and families facing financial challenges participate in troop activities, attend camps, obtain uniforms or equipment, and enjoy opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach.
